About

Sixty years ago The Beatles’ debut feature-length film A Hard Day’s Night became a huge critical and commercial success, even being nominated for two Academy Awards. The following year in 1965 their second film Help!, this one in colour,  received similar glowing plaudits.  The group was hailed as a modern-day Marx Brothers and their director, Dick Lester, credited with ‘fathering’ the MTV pop video culture that was to come.

So what better time to celebrate the songs not just from the soundtracks of these two iconic motion pictures, but from all five in their catalogue.   Featuring hits  from A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine and Let It Be,  The Bootleg Beatles and their orchestra will take you on a whistle stop trip through the celluloid career of The Fab Four in their brand new spectacular multi-media stage show.

It's all there, the costumes, the hairstyles, the banter and the gear. It’s not The Beatles….. but you simply won’t believe it!

The lads looked like the fab four, were excellent mimics, having obviously studied much original footage, great performance and audience interaction, based on how the Beatles presented themselves over 5 decades ago. Fab!

Grew up in 60s and mum was a big Beatles fan. Was so pleased we booked tickets, was not disappointed. Great music, voices are so good, and loved the graphics/video images. A really enjoyable night.

Loved the show, not only such talented musicians but a nostalgic journey portrayed with sheer professionalism. Best tribute I have ever seen!

Seen them several times and will see them again. They're that spot on that you pinch yourself to remind yourself that they're not the actual genuine fab4. The voices, singing, playing are 100%. The guys even look like the real Beatles. Stage set is equally fantastic. If you're a Beatles fan or even just like them, I highly recommend seeing these guys. They will literally send you back in time & make you feel as if George and John are still with us.

Went to Sheffield City Hall as we do every year and haven't missed for about 20 years! It is one of our pre-Christmas traditions and always brilliant😀 Enjoyed the new format and how they showcased the songs from their films. Will be booking again as soon as tickets are available.

The Bootleg Beatles gave an excellent performance of the music from all the Beatles movies. The sound, costumes and looks are very accurate and they interacted well with the near sell-out crowd. A great night out.

  • Brilliant!

Great night - highly recommend! Loved the Bootleg Beatles at The Beacon in Bristol - mainly we were 'of a certain age' and one star lost as I felt that the central stalls area could have been standing more from the start but I realise that could be organisationally difficult 😊

  • The Bootlegs December 2024

by Mountain man on 18/12/2024Sheffield City Hall Oval Hall - SheffieldRating: 5 out of 5

I thought the Bootlegs were great. Great musicians too. They copy their alter images brilliantly and whilst Paul is very, very good, George just blows my mind. He copies the real George's idiosyncrasies and stage presence to perfection. Its as though it IS George. It's eerie, he is so good, worth the price of admission alone. This is my second time watching the Bootlegs and although they changed their song sheet omitting the Sargeant Pepper uniforms, the Magical Mystery Tour came close to substituting. But it was a case of, Close, but no cigar. Looking forwards to booking my tickets for next year, with fingers crossed for a Sargeant Pepper songs and costume return.
