About

How time flies. It’s been 40 years since Alison Moyet stepped out of Yazoo and fired up a solo career with her #1 debut album ‘Alf’ and Top 10 hits ‘Love Resurrection’ and ‘All Cried Out’. That unmistakable voice - big enough to fill a stadium and yet intimate enough to make you feel as though she’s singing just for you - has taken her on quite a journey since, with career highlights including two #1 albums, six Top 10 singles, two BRIT Awards and a GRAMMY nomination.

In celebration of 40 years as a solo artist, Moyet is set to release a new album 'Key' on 4 October. Following her recent graduation from Brighton University in 2023 with a first-class degree in Fine Art Printmaking BA (Hons), Alison Moyet has combined both art and music here, creating the album art herself. ‘Key’ - a collection of 16 reworked singles, fan favourites and deep cuts as well as two new songs which combine to present a blazing showcase of the depth and breadth of her artistic creativity and songwriting. She launches the album by sharing one of its brand new songs, ‘Such Small Ale’ alongside the reworked classic Moyet single ‘All Cried Out’.

  • Awful

by Suz on 29/03/2025Rating: 1 out of 5

She started out by saying she didn't like nostalgia, bit of a joke when that's what the audience was there for. We walked out early and so did many others. She only sang a couple of her hits and they were slowed down. I have been to many concerts but never to one where do one stood up or danced. People were so bored that they were on their phones. Her voice was a good as ever but I have never been so disappointed at a concert before. Boring slow songs all sounded the same and her support act was terrible. Honestly if you haven't already brought the tickets then don't waste your money. Wish I hadn't bothered!

Great show at GRCH by Alison Moyet. The lady still has the voice, and performed for over 90 minutes. Good light show as well.

  • Alison Moyet - brilliant

    by Isabel C on 17/03/2025Bournemouth Pavilion - BournemouthRating: 5 out of 5

We were fortunate to see Alison Moyet at the Bournemouth Pavilion on 13 March 2025. We had purchased her latest CD in the autumn so were familiar with the latest tracks. Her set included old, new and in between songs, perfectly sung and supported by her two musicians. All three were brilliant and we were treated to familiar songs during the encore when we could all join in. If you haven't seen Alison Moyet live, then it's time to treat yourself.

  • Fabulous evening

by Lynn on 07/03/2025The Glasshouse International Centre for Music - GatesheadRating: 5 out of 5

The venue is well presented and clean. Plenty of access to refreshments including hot food. The staff when approached were responsive and friendly. The rows between seats is quite narrow so not much leg room which was slightly uncomfortable. The support act wasn't really to my musical taste, however they had a beautiful voice. Alison Moyet was amazing. She was engaging, clearly cared that we had the best experience. She stopped a song partway as she wasn't happy with the sound, explained why and started again. Her voice has only gotten better with time. Alison had the crowd singing along to old favourites. We loved it! Thank you

  • Poorer than previous concerts by Alison Moyet

by Caroline on 05/03/2025Rating: 2 out of 5

After seeing Alison Moyet as supporting artist at larger venues I have gone from saying favourite 80s singer ever with fantastic performances to very disappointed. If you are looking for a great 80s performance then you will be sadly let down. As a usually Alison Moyet advocate I can only tell you that all the show is unknown new releases and only 5 songs from the whole performance were from the 80s. Also the supporting act can only be described as dismal....no uplifting songs and the atmosphere was almost suicidal
